Cottage Uylenhorst
This comfortable house is a wonderful place for bon vivants, home workers, hikers and mountain bikers. It has a large living room with open kitchen, a sitting area with wood stove, a bathroom, separate toilet, two bedrooms and a box bed and can accommodate 4 to 5 people.
Location
Cottage Uylenhorst is located in the forest on the edge of De Witte Bergen nature park in IJhorst, near Zwolle, Meppel and Giethoorn. There is sun all day around the house, which you can enjoy on the various terraces and seating areas that overlook the forest.
All seasons
This cozy house is a pleasant place to stay during all seasons. When it gets colder outside, it is wonderful to sit by the wood stove with a nice glass of wine or cup of tea. In addition, there is also central heating and double glazing, which ensures a nice temperature always and everywhere. During summer you can use the refreshing outdoor shower on the terrace with sunbeds at the back of the house.

The open kitchen is fully equipped and has a 6-burner Boretti stove with two ovens. The living area with a long 6-person dining table is suitable for working or for a festive dinner. Near the wood-burning stove you will find a cozy sitting area with a comfortable sofa. There is WIFI throughout the house and a widescreen TV with Netflix and other attractive apps.
The bathroom has a wonderful rain and normal shower and we ensure that the house is at room temperature.

Cottage Uylenhorst is located on the border of the provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel. These are separated by the border river De Reest, which lies in an original stream valley. In the area you will find various forests, heathlands and fens where you can enjoy walking and cycling. Giethoorn is not far from IJhorst, where you can sail in a whisper boat through the Wieden and Weeribben.
Culture
There is a lot to find in the cultural field, such as beautiful manors, mills, farms and the hip Hanseatic city of Zwolle. Artists live in the Reestdal for whom the beautiful surroundings are a source of inspiration. The gardens of Mien Ruys are close by and the sculpture garden of restaurant 'De Havixhorst' is definitely worth a visit.
